Keio University

Faculty of Pharmacy

1-5-30 Shibakohen
105-8512 , Minato-ku
Japan

•Keio University’s Faculty of Pharmacy was established in 2008 as part of a merger with the Kyoritsu University of Pharmacy. Kyoritsu was one of Japan’s leading pharmaceutical universities, with a vaunted 77-year history.
•The faculty’s aim is to produce students with a superb understanding of pharmacy, in addition to the practical skills and moral values required for professionals in the field. Keio achieves this by encouraging interfaculty learning within the university, giving students a diverse education. It is hoped that this comprehensive education will produce leaders that can excel on an international stage and that former students will go on to become top-class pharmacists, contributing to the health of the world at large.
•Post-graduation, students are expected to begin careers researching and developing medicines, playing key roles in developing drug policy and seeing medicines through to eventual adoption. Other potential careers include jobs in environmental protection and the food industry.
•Ultimately, Keio University’s Faculty of Pharmacy’s goal is to contribute to society by tackling issues in pharmaceutical education and research, from a global perspective.
